ABOUT GUILLERMO
Guillermo Zouain is a Dominican writer, director, producer, and editor based in Athens, Georgia. His work spans documentary, fiction, audio storytelling, and television, with a focus on character-driven narratives that explore identity, memory, and belonging.
As a filmmaker and producer, he has collaborated on award-winning projects including Off the Road (Visions du Réel), It Runs in the Family (True/False, DOC NYC), Matininó (Sundance Documentary Film Fund, Ford Foundation JustFilms), and Providence (ITVS, Film Independent). He co-created, wrote, directed, and produced Michelle Rojas is Not Okay(2023), a scripted audio series acquired by Broadway Video and Audible.
In addition to his work as a writer and director, Zouain is an accomplished editor whose credits span documentary features, true crime, reality television, branded content, podcasts, and digital media. His editorial work combines a strong sense of narrative structure with an instinct for emotional storytelling, helping shape projects for broadcasters, streaming platforms, independent filmmakers, and cultural organizations.
Guillermo is the Co-Founder and Director of Creative Production at The Lightroom, a full-service production studio dedicated to supporting filmmakers, podcasters, and content creators through collaborative storytelling and innovative media production.
